Dog essential checklist

1) ID - Identification tags and microchip

2) Insurance and register with a veterinary pratice

​

3) Make a folder to keep all medical records and important documents

​

4) Harness, lead and collar (+ spare ones)

​

5) Health essentials - Toothbrushes, toothpaste, ear cleaner, eye wipes, tick remover and dog wet wipes. 

​

6) Pet first aid kit and antiseptic spray (Leucilin is the best purple bottle)

​

7) Grooming essentials - Shampoo, conditioner, paw/nose balm, nail clippers and a range of brushes (breed dependant)

​

8) A warm/comfortable bed - Vet bedding, padded bed or rounded bed with edges to help support their joints

​

9) Water and food bowls - slow feeders and a raised stand if needed

​

10) Enrichment activates - Licky mat, kong, snuffle mat (Go to top 10 enrichment page for more ideas)

​

11) Toys - Rope toys, balls, soft teddies or silicon based toys

​

12) Chews - Nala bones, yak chews or benebones

​

13) Training treats and treat pouch

​

14) LOTS OF POO BAGS!!!
